The bot will:

  1. Provide an authorization URL
  2. You click the link and authorize with Start.gg
  3. Your Discord account is now linked to your Start.gg profile

Verify Linking

Check your linked account:

/my-profile

This shows your connected accounts and any tournaments.

2. Registering for a Tournament

Step 1: Find Your Tournament

When a tournament is announced, the bot will post in the announcement channel with:

  • Tournament name
  • Registration deadline
  • How to register

Step 2: Register

Run:

/register

The bot will:

  1. Ask which event (game) you're entering
  2. Confirm your registration
  3. Notify you when registration is complete

Check Registration Status

View your registrations:

/my-registrations

3. Checking In

When your match is called, you'll be notified in a Discord thread:

Step 1: Check Your Mentions

Look for a DM or mention from the bot in the match thread.

Step 2: Click Check-In Button

Click the "Check In" button in the thread.

Time limit: You typically have 5-10 minutes to check in.

Step 3: Wait for Opponent

Once both players check in, the match begins.

If You Can't Check In

  • Technical issues: Contact a TO immediately
  • Running late: Message your opponent in the thread
  • Need more time: Ask TO to extend check-in

4. Reporting Scores

Step 1: Report Your Win

When your match is complete, the winner runs:

/report

This opens a modal to:

  • Select the winner (yourself)
  • Enter the score (e.g., 2-1)

Step 2: Opponent Confirms

Your opponent receives a confirmation request. They must confirm for the score to be final.

Auto-confirm: If your opponent doesn't confirm within 5 minutes, the result is auto-submitted.

Step 3: Score Reported to Start.gg

Once confirmed, the result is automatically reported to Start.gg.
